NV Equipo Navazos La Bota de Pedro Ximenez #11 "1/12" - Sherry

The Equipo Navazos La Bota de Pedro Ximenez is a singular rarity which comes from a solera that has never before been commercially released. Sourced from a 12 butt solera in the Sacristia of Bodegas Real Tesoro that was filled in 2000 with a very old PX that had been carefully selected from the stocks of the former Bodega Manuel de Argueso.  Since then is has remained untouched, and at the time of this saca (bottling) had an average age of at least 18 years old. This is a superb example of pure PX from Jerez.  It is aged in barrels that are only filled about 5/6th full, allowing the wine to slowly oxidize as well.  It is superb with a traditional Spanish dessert like Arroz con Leche or anything chocolate. Only 1500 bottles produced.
