NV Bermejo Sparkling Malvasia - Canary Islands

The Bermejo Sparkling Malvasia is the only sparkling wine from the Canary Islands that we've ever come across.  The grapes are grown one the black volcanic hillsides of Lanzarote where the very poor soil and heavy trade winds help maintain a fantastic level of minerality and acidity.  It's Brut Nature, so bone dry, with dense flavors of almonds, brioche, and slightly underripe tropical fruits (underripe in the best way possible).  Really, really delicious.
