Historically rose cava was made with the local varieties of grapes, but Pinot Noir has taken hold as the grape of choice for rosado due to its use in Champagne. It's a shame because the Mon Ferrant Brut Rosado is blend of Garnacha & Monastrell and is tart, dry and intensly flavored. Darker than many this has a huge following in both stores. Bright strawberry and blackberry flavors, with notes of toast, tangerine and a creamy mousse on the palate. Muy tasty and highly recommended.
