Amontillado VORS - Barbadillo

Barbadillo is located in Sanlucar de Barameda right on Atlantic ocean at the mouth of the Guadalquivir river. The VORS Amontillado is bone dry and notes of quinine, tea, almonds, and salt meld seamlessly on this. Sherries that are certified as VORS (Very Old, Rare Sherry) are at least 30 years old and are kept under lock and key. The winery does not have the key, it is only the Consejo that keeps a key and whenever a bottling is scheduled it has to be done in conjuction with oversight from the Consejo.
