Camino de Navaherreros is already getting a ton of great press. The dream began in 1923 when a renowned doctor from Madrid purchased a small estate an hours drive outside of the city. However, the Spanish Civil War and increased political instability force him to pu the project on hold. Fast forward to 2006 when two of his great grandchildren vowed to fulfill their ancestors dream. By that time the vineyards were 80 years old, a sweet spot for Garnacha. This introductory offering from them is fermented in neutral barrels and is fresh and lush with bright raspberry, tangy cherry, pepper, and hibiscus notes. Very similar to a Cote-du-Rhone in quality and style.
