2010 Bermejo Rosado - Canary Islands

This may be the most rare Rose that we carry.  It's made from the indigenous Listan Negro grape on the island of Lanzarote.  The vines are planted in black volcanic soils that have very little nutrients but are extremely high in mineral content.  Basically the vineyards look like the surface of the moon, with the vines dug into their own craters to protect them from the wind.  It's medium-bodied with fresh minerals, soft, light red fruit notes, and an herbal note that's really unique.  Try something new, different, and really delicious.
