The 2010 Tukma Torrontes Reserva comes from Cafayate in the Salta region, arguably the site for the best Torrontes in the world. The vineyards are at altitudes varying from about 4500' to 6000' and are planted in sandy, alluvial soils. At such a high altitude they experience large temperature shifts that allow the grapes to concentrate their flavors while maintaining their refreshing acidity. This wine is one of the best examples that we've found. It has delicious flavors and aromas of white peaches, white flowers, green herbs, and a zippy minerality. Tremendous value for the price.
