2009 Bodegas Arzabro "Ametza" - Txakoli Arabako

The 2009 Arzabro "Ametza" is one of only two Arabako Txakolis that we've been able to get our hands on, and it's ridiculously good.  On the nose, a powerful explosion of aromas and fresh fruits, pear, citrus fruits, reminiscent of eucalyptus and aromatic plants as mint. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with notes of fresh mint, grapefruit and lemon, along with a great waxy quality.  Unlike many other "summer-y" Txakolis this has the stuffing to stand up to some heartier fare too.
