2008 Casta Diva is a gorgeous example of Spanish Moscatel. It displays notes of orange blossoms, honey, apricots, cinnamon and spice. Plush and silky on the palate, the sweetness is cut by bright acidity on the back end. Alicante is home to the famed grape Moscatel de Alexandria, which is considered the oldest genetically unmodified grape being grown.
93 Points International Wine Cellar: "Bright gold. Apricot, peach pit, honey and chamomile on the nose, with a subtle spicy note adding energy. Creamy pit fruit flavors are complicated by notes of toasted nuts, marzipan and brown butter, with good mineral snap on the back. Offers an intriguing blend of sweetness and energy, with excellent finishing thrust and lingering toffee and apricot nectar notes"
