The 2007 Contino Vina del Olivo from Cune is one of Spain's landmark wines. All sourced from a single vineyard planted planted amongst river stones that are reminiscent of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. It's deep purple-colored with a nose of balsamic, Asian spices, incense, and a cocktail of black fruits. Medium-bodied, savory, and smooth-textured. It will only get better with time. That is, if you have the self control (which I don't!).
