Aged over 10 years, the 2000 Vina Tondonia Rosado is absolutely one of a kind.
91 points, The International Wine Cellar: "Bright peach skin color. Red berries, pear and orange zest on the nose, with complicating notes of tarragon and salty minerals. Sweet red fruit flavors give way to muskier pear skin and almond in the middle palate, with a firm note of talc emerging on the back end. This dry, focused, serious pink wine finishes with strong grip and a lingering note of dried red fruit. Serve it with full-flavored food."
90 Points, The Wine Advocate: "A current release is the 2000 Vina Tondonia Rosado, a blend of 60% Garnacha, 30% Tempranillo, and 10% Viura aged for 4.5 years in oak and 6 years in bottle. Orange/pink in color, it still displays some fruit on the nose leading to a wine with notes of bitter almonds, hazelnuts, rhubarb, and cranberry. Definitely not your typical rose!"
