1995 CVNE (Cune) Imperial Gran Reserva - Rioja

The 1995 Cune Imperial Gran Reserva has a medium red color with liqueur-like red fruits and tobacco on the nose. Sweet, sappy and dense but brightened by harmonious acidity. Strong, youthfully tight cherry and berry flavors coat the palate. Finishes quite long, with strong but even tannins. A very good showing.To quote a famed wine critic, "Cune IS old-school Rioja."  The wines age slowly and gracefully and are some of the most sought after from Spain.
