1991 Colheita Port - Krohn

Krohn was founded by two Norwegians in 1875, but is now wholly Portuguese owned. They are another port house that specializes in Colheitas, single year tawny port that is aged for a minimum of 7 years in cask. It is bottled only on release so the older vintages have been in cask for substantially longer than 7 years.  Colheita Port is always a dry, nutty wine that warms the body and pairs well with salty olives, cheeses and cured meats. The 1991 is almost a 20 year old wine for a fraction of the price of a comparable aged port.
