1975 Cossart Gordon Verdelho - Madeira

Cossart Gordon is the oldest shipper in Madeira and dates back to 1745, while America was still called "the colonies". This is their relatively recent (only 30+ years old) Verdelho. An intense toasted almond note leads the way on the palate, with notes of pine, smoke and toffee. The steely acidity on the finish is vibrant and filled with high tone notes of citrus. Impressive stuff.
