Henriques & Henriques 15 year Bual is made, as you might expect, from the medium sweet Bual grape. The wine is dark amber/mahogany colored with assertive aromas of toasted nuts and caramel. Flavors of tangerine peel and toffee with a light raisin sweetness combine with lively acidity to lighten the character of the wine. The typical burnt sugar flavor (like the crust on a classic crema catalana) adds a slight bitter note to the long, lingering finish. Serve a small glass of Henriques & Henriques 15 year Bual at the end of a nice meal, after (or in place of) dessert to taste this wine at its best.
